The Roman Theater is located at the entrance to the Alcazaba and dates from the time of Augustus (1st century). It was discovered by chance in 1951. It was in operation until the 3rd century and was then used as a quarry for materials for the redesign of the Alcazaba. The theater is again used as a performance venue today. It is open from Wednesday to Saturday 10: 00-14: 30/16: 00-19: 00 (November-March) and 17: 00-20: 00 (April-October), Sunday 10: 00-14 : Open 30h. Admission is free. (Calle Alcazabilla, 8). In 2010, a newly built visitor center was opened.
