Malaga Flamenco world record

In July 2019, Málaga set an impressive world record: In a flash mob, 4,730 people simultaneously danced flamenco on the streets of the city. This event was part of the 5th International Flamenco Seminar in Málaga and aimed to form the largest group of people dancing flamenco at the same time.

The dance performed during this record attempt was "Por Malagueñas", a flamenco style that originated in Málaga. The attendance of 4,730 people exceeded the previous target and demonstrated the city's deep attachment to this traditional Andalusian art form. This event not only emphasises the cultural importance of flamenco in Málaga, but also the sense of community and the passion of the inhabitants for their musical roots.
