Malaga harbour - Muelle 1 + 2

One of Malaga's attractions - the harbour with Muelle 1 and Muelle 2 (Pier 1 + 2) opened in spring 2012 as a new nightlife district after more than 7 years of construction. The harbour is described in almost all travel guides. It is almost 3000 years old and has also become increasingly popular as a cruise terminal for some time. Further attractive extensions are to be added in the next few years.

Muelle 1
Numerous shops (open 11:00-23:00) and restaurants (open until min. 24:00) invite you to linger. The 19 restaurants offer all kinds of different cuisine (Indian, Mexican, tapas, fish, Italian, Japanese, etc.). You can sit outside and enjoy the view of the harbour and the "local mountain" of Malaga, the Gibralfaro. It is only about 10 minutes away from the main shopping street "Calle Larios". From an underground car park, you can walk directly onto the promenade. Recently, there have also been harbour tours here and, from time to time, concerts and a regular market. The Hard Rock Cafe and the Centre Pompidou are also located here.

Muelle 2
The Palm Shark on the Muelle 2 is an architectural masterpiece. It was the result of an international ideas competition. It consists of a promenade area under a network of palm trees and a pergola running parallel to the quay. The new harbour for luxury yachts will also be located there (on Muelle 1 and 2). The maritime museum "Aula del Mar" is also located here (more info here: ).
